Go Panthers!

The Yorkshire Rams Juniors are extremely proud to announce the creation of an alliance with the Manchester Enthusiasm Trust Tigers. For the benefit of the 2014 competitive season both organisations will work together under the guise of the Pennine Panthers to field a full Junior Team and 2 Youth Teams.

In doing so, the nationwide issue of player shortages at the Junior Level is overcome, allowing both organisations to continue to develop and build while still competing on the National Stage. In addition, the ability to pool resources, particularly coaching resource provides a massive boost to both squads and will undoubtedly benefit all those involved.

There is a lot of work to do prior to the commencement of the 2014 season, but already it is clear that the Yorkshire Rams and Enthusiasm Trust share the same goals, ambitions and beliefs providing a fantastic platform for Junior and Youth American Football in the UK and giving significant opportunity to develop players and promote the sport.

Justin Lester (Yorkshire Rams Junior Manager) said “This is a big step forward for the Yorkshire Rams and Enthusiasm Trust; having met with Caleb [Jackson] of the Enthusiasm Trust it is clear we share the same principles of what football should be about and are both looking forward to making the alliance work, and perhaps even providing a model for other clubs in the UK. There is still a lot of work to be done, but I am confident it will benefit both teams and we are very much looking forward to playing football this year.”
