The Rams continued their unbeaten season with a clinical 42–0 win over the Sheffield Giants at Norton Sports Park, showcasing power on the ground and dominance across all three phases of the game.
The Giants picked up an early first down via penalties but were soon forced to punt, and Tyler Broad immediately flipped the field with a strong return into Giants territory. On the next series, Elliot Jackson found the endzone on a tough inside run, and Trish Sarkar added the PAT to make it 7–0.
Disaster then struck for Sheffield on a high snap that sailed into the endzone. Alex Beaumont pounced on the loose ball for a defensive touchdown, and Sarkar’s second PAT made it 14–0.
Sheffield answered with a strong return and a solid ground game but stalled in the redzone. Their field goal attempt was blocked by Broad to preserve the shutout.
The Rams then took over with a punishing series of runs from their rotation of backs. Jackson broke loose again and set the offense up at the 5-yard line before Iago Castro-Charlon scored on a screen pass against his former team. The PAT extended the lead to 21–0.
The Giants tried to respond with another long drive, but their second field goal attempt went wide left. The Rams capitalized, driving once more and finishing the half with a touchdown from Keimar Stuart. The extra point was blocked, making it 27–0 at halftime.
Opening the second half, the Rams offense picked up right where it left off. A methodical drive ended in another touchdown run for Stuart, and this time the Rams went for two - Dan Haywood powered in on a QB sneak to make it 35–0 and start the rolling clock.
On the next possession, Kelvin Newsome came up with an incredible interception and returning it to the 1-yard line with a strong run. Liam Calvert punched in his first touchdown on the next play, with Sarkar adding the PAT to push the score to 42–0.
The Rams defense continued to dominate, forcing another punt as the third quarter ended. In the fourth, the Rams turned the ball over on downs after a promising drive. Backup quarterback Tyler Coare led the offense into Sheffield territory, but a penalty wiped out a first down and the Rams were forced to punt.
From there, the defense closed out the game to complete another shutout - the fourth of the season - and confirm the Rams’ seventh straight win and continued dominance atop the NFC 1 North.
